Marine

Considered to be the creme-de-la-creme of tropical fish-keeping, marine fish have become much easier, over the years, to keep. This is not least due to the amount of information and equipment which is now available to make the hobby much easier and, in turn, more enjoyable.

We have regular imports of marine fish, corals and invertebrates – all of which are in the peak of health before being sold to customers. With 13 tanks we are able to carry a varied selection and, in Spring 2014, a new system will be installed which will enable us to carry larger stocks.

Saltwater is, of course, paramount to the keeping of marine fish and corals and to this end we sell both RO (reverse osmosis) and salted RO water. RO strips the water of all the minerals it contains – however, don't forget that some of the minerals will need to be replaced which, of course, we also sell! Purchasing salted RO water from us means that the salt level will be correct (1.023 to 1.025) and alleviates the worries of mixing the salt yourself.

We have a good selection of equipment and food suitable for maintaining your marine fish and corals of which more information can be found on the dry goods page. Live foods are an important factor of keeping marines and we have regular deliveries of Copepods, Mysis and Brine shrimp – we have a live brine shrimp hatchery which also ensures that the they are completely fresh.
