Diet: Flake, live and frozen.

Temperament: Tiger barbs are known to nip the fins of other fish. Keep them in shoals of eight or more for them to create a "pecking order." The more that you keep in a shoal the less likely they will pick on other fish. Do not keep with any other fish that have long flowing fins.

Comments: A very popular fish in the aquarium hobby. There are many other colour variations for tiger barbs, including green, red, and albino. As above keep these fish in shoals of at least eight or more. Generally a good community fish.
